Top 25 Most Influential Classic West Coast Albums – Awaiting the Release Date
Times have changed from the days of waiting until Tuesday, to buy the hottest newly dropped underground gangsta rap albums. That feeling has come and for all apparent reasons seems to be gone forever. What changed you might say? To be honest, the process never changed just the quality of the product. I became tired of copping one of my favorite artist’s new album only to be disappointed by a 14 song dud with only 3 or 4 good songs. The consumers are not stupid, real fans know the difference between effort and politics. The music business has been invaded by politics and propaganda. Here are the top 25 most influential classic West Coast albums in my opinion before the demise.
Top 25 Most Influential Classic West Coast Albums – The Criteria of a Classic
The sad part is that when these artists claimed to be going independent so that they could finally say what they really wanted to say the music honestly became worse. So I want to talk about some of my favorite albums that didn’t hold anything back from their fans. I compiled this list after listening to 3 weeks of some of my favorite go to albums. I hit up the homies and asked for their nominations. I have to admit that most of these albums were dropped in the midst of the West Coast’s dominance in the music industry. I took into account a lot of different factors but at the end of the day I weighed in influence, originality, listening quality, lyrical content, beats and overall product.
Top 25 Most Influential Classic West Coast Albums – Making the Cut
There are so many albums that did not make the cut because to be honest I could have easily selected over 500 albums. I also only took one album per artist to keep the list as short as possible. This list is in no particular order; so I will let you decide your number one album. Let me know your top selections, but in my opinion these are the top 25 most influential classic West Coast albums. Check me out for some of the most influential classic West Coast opinions.
